This position paper provides a set of 22 guiding principles for graduate study in Ontario. Developed by members of the Ontario Council of Graduate Studies, these principles relate to graduate on-campus employment, intellectual and professional objectives of graduate studies, and the demonstration of graduates’ research skills. Definitions of core faculty, field, and collaborative specialization are also included.
